Down to the Wire Finish

The Martlets hosted a solid class A foe — Choate Rosemary Hall — on a late Wednesday evening. Both teams started off a little cold but then things began to get intense as the Wild Boars went on a run. Choate went up as much as nine in the first half but the gritty Martlets fought back. Captain Jack Devlin ‘20 came in late in the first half and gave the Martlets a spark on defense, which led to tying the game at halftime. In the second half, it was an old fashioned slug fest. Both exchanged physical play on both ends of the court. However, the Martlets came up short due to a missed shot with 0.4 of a second left on the clock in regulation. Captain Chris Robinson '20 led the charge with 18 points, 10 assists, six rebounds and three steals. Fifth Former Teddy Mangiarotti '21 also had 18 points and three steals. Sixth Former Rafa Charfole also had a solid double double with 12 points, 14 rebounds and two blocks. Big shoutout to Sixth Former Joe Walsh who has been a stud defense all year. The Martlets play Canterbury Friday at home.
