Martlets Extend Winning Streak Against Salisbury

Third Boys’ Lacrosse took on a big and tough Salisbury squad in front of the alumni and put together its strongest performance of the year. At the X, the coaches would be hard-pressed to remember a faceoff that Alex Tonioni '22 lost all afternoon. They conceded the last few faceoffs before the whistle, as to mitigate the damage he could do. Offensively, the team clicked from the get go. Led by Nate Swift '19, Hunter Hoogkamp '21, Linc Dines '21 and Hunter Johnson '21, the Westminster offense got off to another quick start, scoring four in the first quarter before Salisbury could get on the board. Defensively, Juan Jo Garibay '20 put together the finest start of his young goaltending career with upwards of 10 saves, and Beck Winsor '21, Cooper Organ '21 and Justin Parsons '20 held down the fort with excellent team defense. Although many were deserving, the game balls went to the Sixth Form leadership, Swift and Tarek Mourad '19, who got the team going in what was its last home game at Westminster.
