Izquierdo '27 Throws No-Hitter in Victory

A brisk morning gave way to sunny skies as the Martlets welcomed league-foe Kent to Osborn Field. Xavier Izquierdo '27 made his second start of the year and was brilliant. He would go 5IP while striking out 8. The Martlets hammered out 14 hits, led by Willis '26 (3 hits), Matthews '28 (3 hits), and Gantz '26 (2 hits). After getting three in the first, the Martlet energy waned but the team was able to put together big innings again in the 4th and 5th to secure a mercy rule win. The boys will host league leader Choate on Saturday on Osborn Field.
