Martlets Fall to Knights

The Martlets traveled to the northwest corner of Connecticut to take on Salisbury. The first half was back and forth in a low scoring affair. Salisbury had fhe home court edge which helped them create a six point lead at half. The Martlets faced some early foul trouble and were down as many as 13 in the second half. However, we fought back to cut the lead to 3 in the last few minutes. A few key shots didn’t fall our way late and Salisbury capitalized by hitting free throws to stretch the lead in the closing seconds. Sonny Batchelor ‘27 was solid for the Martlets throughout the game. The Martlets host Avon Old Farms on Saturday night.
