4 Fonner L 3,4,3
5 Wen L 5,3,5

The girls faced one of the top teams in New England and were unable to find any traction, losing all seven matches at 3-0. Even when they hit shots to good width and depth, their Wildcat opponents were able to dig the ball out and land a counterpunch. It has to count as a highlight that Sophia Wen ‘29 scraped out five points in two of her games at no. 5, a feat equaled only by Sophia Lazor ‘26, whose five points in her third game were hard-earned against Westover’s very strong no. 1. The girls will have several weeks to digest the lesson that the experience provided as they go into a welcome holiday break.
