Martlets Fall to Bearcats

The Westminster JV Girls ice hockey team showed immense heart despite a tough 7-2 loss to Hotchkiss. The Bearcats opened with a four-goal flurry in the first, but the Martlets refused to fold, finding their spark in the second period.
Eliza Reilly '27 ignited the bench by burying a loose rebound, followed by a stunning coast-to-coast effort from Abby Cirelli ’27 that sliced through the defense. Hotchkiss added three more late goals to seal the win, but Lily Pokorny ’29 remained a workhorse in net, racking up 16 hard-earned saves. It was a gritty performance against a relentless opponent.
