Martlets Defeat Gunn

The Martlets were ready to get back to work after the winter long weekend and started with one of their best quarters of the season. Charlotte Evanko ‘29, Parker Perillo ‘26, and Chloe Donovan ‘29 helped open up a lead, each hitting a 3-pointer, while Gianna Monaco ‘27, Kaitlyn Buda ‘27, and Delia Lockwood ‘26 set the tone defensively, limiting their opponent to only 4 points. For the first time this season, the Martlets entered halftime with the lead and did not look back in the second half. Even when the Highlanders cut the lead to 2 in the third quarter, Westminster held steady and responded with 6 points from Buda ‘27 and another 3-pointer from Perillo ‘26. In the closing quarter, the Martlets received valuable contributions from all members of the team, including some strong rebounds from Coslyn Bardy ‘29 and great defensive energy from Victoria Niu ‘29.
