Martlets Fall to GFA

Before departing for the long weekend, the Martlets traveled down to Westport to face off against a talented GFA squad. Westminster’s roster was limited with several injuries and illnesses, but was buoyed by some extra support from the JV team. The Dragons jumped out to an early lead after forcing several Martlet turnovers and converting on open 3 point opportunities. Chloe Donovan ‘29 helped Westminster get on the board with a 3-pointer of her own, but the points were hard to come by. Eliana Gauvin ‘29, Victoria Niu ‘29, Melody El-Amin ‘27, and Coslyn Bardy ‘29 provided a spark off the bench and helped elevate the defensive intensity while Kaitlyn Buda ‘27 and Delia Lockwood ‘26 chipped in the remainder of the points. The Martlets will look to rest and reset over the winter long weekend and prepare for a more competitive week as they welcome Frederick Gunn and Cheshire to campus after the break.
