Martlets Shutout Ethel Walker

It was a perfect fall afternoon on the Hill as the Martlets took on crosstown opponent Ethel Walker. The Black and Gold came out flying, full of energy and confidence. The Martlets were knocking on the door with several quality chances, but the Ethel Walker keeper came up big with a series of impressive saves to keep the game scoreless.
With 11 minutes remaining in the first half, Mia Fluckiger ’26 broke through, finishing a well-placed pass from Caroline Gauvin ’27 to give the Martlets the lead. Just before halftime, Gauvin added one of her own off a setup from Lylah Leigner ’29, sending Westminster into the break up 2–0.
The Martlets carried their momentum right into the second half. Just three minutes in, Fluckiger struck again off a feed from Izzie Leone ’27, and two minutes later, Maeve Nicholas ’29 extended the lead with a beautiful goal from distance off a pass from Natalie Czop ’27. Fluckiger continued her incredible form, completing her second hat trick of the season with 30 minutes remaining after a pass from Taryn Overstreet ’26. To cap off the scoring, Coslyn Bardy ’28 found the back of the net following a setup from Nicholas, sealing a dominant 6–0 win.
The Martlets are now riding a five-game winning streak and look to carry that momentum into their final Class A matchup against Taft on Wednesday.
