Martlets Defeat T-P

The Martlets hosted Trinity-Pawling (TP) at home on Wilbraham Field. Hudson O’Hanlon’s ‘28 skillset was on full display with his composed and calculated play, leading to the opening goal for the Martlets. His early strike set the tone and momentum for the team, as both sides battled intensely throughout the first quarter. Allen Alava ‘28 made a key recovery, intercepting the ball and making smart, deliberate moves that helped the Martlets maintain possession. Despite their strong effort, TP capitalized on an open opportunity and scored in the final minutes of the first half.
In the second half, the Martlets came out with renewed energy and sharper play. Calvin Bixby ‘28 worked tirelessly, making key tackles and maintaining relentless effort up and down the field. Jeff Niu ‘26  delivered a precise cross that set up Will Jones ‘28 for a header, while Justin Fu ‘27 assisted Teddy Russell ‘26 for the team’s third goal. Steven Lau ‘28 also made a strong impact, consistently driving the ball forward with his tactical awareness. In the final moments of the match, Terry Deng ‘29, entering late in the game, scored the closing goal for the Martlets, sealing a well-earned victory and keeping team morale high.
The Grit and Grace Award goes to Hudson O’Hanlon ‘28, who demonstrated determination and composure across multiple positions. His focus and consistency throughout the game were instrumental in the team’s success.
