Martlets Fall to Porter's

The Martlets traveled to Miss Porter’s for a surprisingly sunny fall afternoon. The game started with some great rallies, including a particularly long rally that led to a great pass from Chloe Donovan ‘29 to Ainslee Deptula ‘28, who set Kaitlyn Buda ‘27 for a kill. The overall teamwork, energy, and communication were impressive and indicative of greatness to come for our Martlets. Nandini Panigrahi ‘27 stepped in and made some great deep passes to keep the ball alive. Sloane Finnegan ‘28 had multiple aces and strong hits. Ainslee Deptula ‘28 continued to set her teammates up for success while also serving key aces. Sophia Wen ‘29 hustled to every ball, making great passes to June Perrin ‘29 and Ainslee. Sophia also served an ace and continually discombobulated Miss Porter’s with the heat on her serves. Kaitlyn, Chloe Donovan ‘29, and Arielle Anderson ‘28 made quite a few great blocks, hits, and saves at the net to earn more points for the Martlets.
