Martlets Shutout AOF
In our first home game of the season, we faced Avon Old Farms (A.O.F) in an intense matchup right from the opening minutes. Jordan Pham ‘27 anchored the defensive line with strength and composure, working seamlessly with Maruli Sianturi ‘28, George, and Henry Baird ‘26. On the left wing, Allen Alava ‘28 put in an impressive effort, while the entire team showed tremendous determination. Pushing the attack forward, Steven Lau ‘28 used his speed and aggression to break through the A.O.F defense, scoring our opening goal despite heavy pressure.
In the second half, A.O.F pressed with quick resets and faster play, putting our players under greater pressure. Still, our defense stood strong. Hudson O’Hanlon ‘28 showed great drive pushing the ball forward with his skill and intensity, while Teddy Russell ‘26 delivered a perfectly placed corner into the box. After a hard-fought battle, Mason Moritz ‘28 found the opening and scored our second goal. A fantastic victory for the Martlets!
The Grit and Grace Award was presented to Jordan Pham ‘27 for his outstanding defensive performance. He maintained strength and precision throughout the game, setting the tone for our team’s resilience and success.
