Martlets Fall to Taft

A very close game for the Martlets today. The team was behind for the first quarter, but made an amazing come back from the second quarter. Wynne Pritchett ’28 scored 3 times, which ignited the team and allowed everyone to pay extra hard to the end of the game. Chase Hager ’26 scored twice, with one being a precise and excellent penalty shot. Ground-balls were very important in this game, and Lizzie Filippetti ’28, Pippa Jiranek ’26, and Siri Dong ’28, were particularly strong in their offensive and defensive skills. Avery Boulanger ’25 also scored a goal, from a beautiful pass by Macey Sheehan ’27. The game wrapped with a fast shot from Mason Turton ’27. Overall, the team played extremely well, not feeling discouraged when behind, and kept up the energy.
Shout out to Maddy Manafort ’28 for playing goalie.
