Martlets Fall to Pelicans

After playing extremely well in a win the previous day, the Martlets made a number of uncharacteristic miscues in a loss at Loomis Chaffee on 4/17. Bright spots during a difficult afternoon included Mia Magriz '25 having multiple hits and driving in two runs for Westy. Lily Shuster '27 led off the game with a single, played well in centerfield, and also scored a run for the Martlets. Kaitlyn Buda '27 showed grit by playing through an injury and had an RBI single in the sixth inning. Mya Polastry '27 continued her strong play in right field, and Caitlyn Eaton '28 fielded her position well at first base. The Martlets will now move forward in preparation for a Tuesday afternoon game at Kingswood-Oxford.
