Martlets Fall To AOF

On a warm spring day, the Martlets took the short drive over to Avon to take on the winged beavers. AOF was ranked #1 in New England in the most recent New England Baseball Journal Poll and was undefeated. Matt Shea '26 took the ball and was impressive. Through 5IP, he only allowed 1 run against a potent lineup. The Martlet offense battled against good AOF pitching. Easton Masse '25 drove in Connor Lytle '25 and Jake Pleau '26 had a 2 RBI single and the Martlets had a 3-1 lead entering the bottom of the 6th. Four errors ultimately doomed the team as a 3-1 lead became a 4-3 deficit and ultimately, a defeat.
