Martlets Defeat Rhinos

Anna Hassett '27 pitched a gem and also contributed three doubles to lead the Martlets to a 11-3 win at Taft. The game was a close 4-3 contest until the fifth inning, when Melody El-Amin '27 blasted a triple to left field with the bases loaded. Mia Magriz '25 and Kaitlyn Buda '27 also had multiple hits throughout the afternoon. The Westminster lineup showed depth, as every batter reached base. Hassett drove in four runs, and El-Amin had three RBIs. Defensively, Magriz caught a terrific game and picked off a runner at first base. Buda, El-Amin, and Caitlyn Eaton '28 continued their fine work in the infield. Buda was involved in five putouts at second base. In the outfield, Gabby de la Fe '26, Lily Shuster '27, and Mya Polastry '27 each made nice plays. A special shout out to the Westy reserves, who provided amazing support to their teammates on a windy, cold day!  The win was a total team effort. The Martlets will next travel to play Loomis Chaffee on 4/17.
