Martlets Start 3-0!

The boys started their season not just with three wins by a wide margin in a quad match, but with a loud statement. Undaunted by cold and windy conditions, they put up an impressive score, announcing that this Martlet squad will be a force to be reckoned with this season. Returning stalwarts Brody DiBeneditto ‘26 and Reed Ghrisky ‘26 posted a pair of 37s, closely followed by the 38 carded by newcomer Carson Craig ‘26. The highlight, however, was provided by Jack Fichthorn ‘26, who rode some clutch putting to a 36, earning co-medalist honors (shared with the Salisbury and Suffield #1s). Captain Will McCarthy ‘25 rounded out the top five with a 41. And if those performances weren’t encouraging enough, a 42 from Julien Kocatas ‘26 was the non-counted score, and nipping at the heels of this strong squad are returning contributors Blake Burke ‘25 and JJ Hurley ‘25 (who missed last season with an injury). The boys will be eager to hit the course again when they travel to Suffield next Wednesday.
