Martlets Fall to League's Top Team

The chilly spring weather returned as the Martlets traveled to Wallingford to take on the Wild Boars. Choate came in at 9-0 and proved why they are the top team in the league. After a scoreless first, the Wild Boars took advantage of walks and a mental error to jump out the a 6-0 lead off starter Matt Vahle '26. Choate's pitching was strong and the black and gold offense could only muster two runs. Offensive highlights including Jake Pleau '26 ripping a double and two hits from Ryan Holmes '28, who is among the league leaders in hitting. Teddy Russell '26 and Andy Do '28 finished out the game on the mound.
