A BIG WIN!

Frantz Batoh
The Martlets’ performance this afternoon against Kent School showcased dominance, precision, and teamwork from start to finish. With a masterclass in ball circulation and seamless chemistry on the field, they left no doubt about their superiority.

The opening minutes were defined by Martlet dominance, as they controlled possession and dictated the pace. Despite their early pressure, it took 14 minutes before the breakthrough came. The wait was worth it. Eliza Lane ’28 struck first with a clinical finish that set the tone. Just four minutes later, Piper Lundin doubled the advantage, and from there, the floodgates opened. The Martlets’ attack was unstoppable, with Ava Aponte ’28, Eliza Reilly ’27, and Charlotte Evanko each finding the back of the net. By halftime, the scoreboard reflected the Martlets’ brilliance: a 5–0 lead that left Kent reeling.

The second half began with Kent tightening their defense, forcing the Martlets to wait. For 35 minutes, the game was a battle of endurance and patience. Finally, Margaux Walter ’27 broke through, reigniting the Martlets’ momentum. From there, the goals returned in style. Giana Monako ’27 added her name to the scoresheet, and Ava Aponte ’28 closed the game with two more goals, securing her brace and underlining her attacking prowess. The Martlets finished the game with a resounding victory, combining skill, teamwork, and sportsmanship. This 8–0 Triumph was a reflection of their offensive firepower and of their discipline and fair play throughout the contest.
