General Summary
The Westminster School Health Center is seeking experienced Registered Nurses to fill a variety of open schedules for the 2026-2027 academic year. Our health center is a CT state-licensed infirmary open Monday-Saturday during the academic year (September through May). All nurses report directly to the Clinical Director of the Health Center.
 
Available Schedules
  • On-Call – be available by phone every Friday from 11pm-7am as well as weekends (on a rotational basis) from 1pm Saturday through 7am Monday; responsible for phone triage and potential overnight stay for patient care.
  • Part Time – work onsite in our health center every Wednesday and Thursday from 7pm-11pm; participate in on-call weekend rotation (1pm Saturday through 7am Monday); responsible for phone triage and potential overnight stay for patient care.
  • Per Diem – cover open onsite and on-call shifts as needed.
 
Job Qualifications
  • CT Licensure required with at least 1-2 years of experience. Experience in pediatrics/adolescence preferred.
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office and Google Suite. Experience with August Schools a plus. Overall comfort with technology required.
  • Strong assessment and critical thinking skills required.
  • Ability to respond to high-stress situations in a calm and efficient manner.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including sensitivity to and experience working with people of diverse backgrounds, experiences, and abilities.
  • Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be extremely reliable and flexible.
  • Must be First Aid/AED/CPR certified.
  • Current driver’s license with clean driving record required.
  • Ideal candidate resides within a 30-minute drive to campus to accommodate on-call hours.
