Martlets of Martlets

During Parents and Family Weekend in October 2023, alumni and children who are currently enrolled took a group photo in the front steps of Cushing Hall. This photo speaks volumes about the connection and trust that alumni enjoy with the school. We look forward to keeping this tradition in the years to come.

Every time I’m back on Williams Hill (most recently in June for the 2022 Mega Reunion), all the memories of former classmates, teachers, coaches, advisors, and staff that make Westminster a special place come flooding back.

Those memories are not just what happened inside the classroom, but the values, traditions, and school spirit that one experiences. For many years, I had the saying “Grit & Grace” framed on my desk, which helped to center me throughout the day. Westminster will always be a part of who I am. Once a Martlet, always a Martlet!

Although my years at Westminster are a few decades behind me, staying connected to the school’s goals and future growth has been a mission that I hope you will continue to support as Alumni. I’m grateful for all that Westminster students and staff accomplish as the school continues to evolve as a competitive, challenging and fulfilling home away from home. With your help, whether it be your time, talent or monetary support, we can ensure that future Martlets have even more opportunities than we had during our time on the Hill. For those who haven’t been on campus recently, I️ encourage you to visit soon! There may be many physical differences from when you were a student, but I️ can assure you that the spirit of Westminster remains the same!

I️ look forward to connecting with you.

    With Grit & Grace,
    Suzanne (Jarrett) Melan ‘90
