Third Boys' Squash gets outmatched by skilled Taft squad

This afternoon Westminster was simply outmatched by a formidable Taft squad. The Martlets gave it their all, but the visitors played impressive squash, hitting tight rails, sharp angled drop shots, and timely boasts while controlling the T for each match. Only Max Grout ’17, Chris Zheng ’17, and Spencer Organ ’18 managed to win a game, although no one went down without a fight. Dylan Murphy ’17, John Pfister ’17, Joe Patrina ’18, and Ryan Lee ’18 each lost their final game by a mere two points—a few less unforced errors might have turned those matches around. The same could be said for Andrew Doucette ’18 and Matthew Swenson, who also lost a game by only a couple of points. Meanwhile, Alex Londal ’17, and Hayden Cathcart ’18, and Sean Ryan ’18 battled hard to the bitter end, but came up short. The 3rds squad looks to rebound tomorrow in its final match of the season versus Renbrook.
