First Girls' Hockey shut out Hotchkiss in 3-0 win

The Martlets took a while to warm up on a cold and snowy Saturday but got the win in the end. While most games on the day were cancelled, the First Girls' Hockey team was undeterred by the morning snowstorm and hosted the Bearcats from Hotchkiss in Jackson Rink. At the end of a back and forth first period, the girls stepped up their game to take a 1-0 lead when Erin Ozturk '15 took a pass from Ashley Carbone '16 and slotted it past the keeper. After a scoreless, frenetic second period, the Martlets knew they had to score again in the third to ice the game, and they answered the call. With 5 minutes left in the game, Catherine Crawley '16 notched a goal, assisted by Ozturk, to put the team up 2-0. Shortly after, with Hotchkiss scrambling to get the goals back, Emma Lange '18 scored off of a pass from Sarah Migliori '16 to close out the 3-0 win.
