Rocco Returns To The Mound

In a truly courageous display of pure GRIT, Nick Rocco '15 returned from his devastating eye injury to pitch 8 remarkable innings of baseball as the Martlets defeated Kent by a score of 13 - 2.  Rocco allowed only 5 hits while striking out 7 Kent batters and throwing a strikes to balls ratio of 3:1.  Of equal note was the explosive - and I mean explosive - hitting display produced by Carl Doucette '16.  Doucette had two home runs (one of which was a grand slam), a double off the fence, and a single along with 8 runs batted in. WOW! Additional offense was provided by the bats of Toby Casper '14 (two doubles), Jordan Barnes '16 (a double and two singles), Scott Williams '16 and Vincent Ferraro '14 (both with two singles). Additional hitting was supplied by Tyler Buckley '15, Mike McNally '14, and Luke Tressy '16.
