Eaglebrook Takes Control Against Martlets

It was a rough day for the Martlets as they flew to northern Massachusetts.  Susie Black '15 and Phebe Huth '15 got things started at #3 doubles.  Black and Huth held their own in a 2-8 defeat.  Ryan Fox '14 and Oliver Senbahar '15 had a good match at #2 doubles, before falling 4-8.  Alex Son '15 returned to his alma mater and teamed with Philip Song '15 at #1 doubles.  Song and Son fell 3-8.  In singles, the results were mostly the same.  Senbahar, Black, and Huth battled some talented young men from Eaglebrook and lost quickly.  Fox played well and lost at #1 singles.  Son played one of his friends and did well before losing 5-8.  The lone victory of the day came from Song at #4 singles.  Leading 7-6, Song had match point.  He lost it and the match went to a tiebreaker.  Song was on fire in the tiebreaker.  He won the first six points, lost the next two, then finished off his opponent for an 8-7 (7-2) victory.
