Martlets Tame Tigers

The Martlets put two complete halves together with a strong showing against Suffield Academy. Eleni Tebano '13 got Westminster on to the board within the opening four minutes of the game off of a feed from Annie French '13. The Martlets pulled further ahead off of a Wolejko-Kennedy combination, with Rachel Kennedy '12 crossing a nice ball in for Brooke Wolejko '14 to slam home. Marielle LaFaire '12 scored her third goal in two games with just under ten minutes remaining in the first half. Within the first two minutes of the second half, the Martlets took a 4-0 lead as Kennedy dribbled the ball into the circle and got a beautiful shot off into the opposite post. Brooke Heron '12 and Sandra Stephan '14 finished out the scoring for Westminster. The win was truly a team effort with strong play all over the field. The Martlets, 9-2, face Choate on Thursday.
