Martlets Host Season Opener
In the first game of the season, the Martlets hosted the Wyverns. KO jumped out to a 15 to 5 lead. Then the Martlets battled back to close the gap to 27 to 33 at halftime. During the second half the Martlets continued to battle back, cutting the lead to just 2 points at 31 to 33. The margin between the two team remained from 3 to 5 points until 3 minutes remaining in the game. KO made a run and push the score up to 10 point difference. Eventually winning by 47 to 58. The leading scorer was Greg Miller '10 who earned a double-double with 22 points and 10 rebounds. Michael Hom '11 led in assists with six. Though the team did not win the contest, they never stopped fighting. Overall it was an exciting, solid first outing for the Black and Gold.
