Martlets Unable To Stop Pelican Attack

The Second Girls' Soccer team traveled to Loomis Chaffee on Saturday and lost a very hard fought game.  It was a very windy day, which made it hard to control the play.  Playing into the wind in the first half the Westminster girls played well, but went into half time down 2-0.  Already missing many key players due to injury and illness, the team had a few more injuries, which meant they only had one sub for much of the second half.  Loomis played a very physical style of soccer and Westminster rose to this challenge and should be proud of the fact that they never gave up despite the injuries and lack of subs.  Katie Hill '11 played a very strong game filling in at sweeper in a position she does not typically play.  Natalie Biedron '12 played another strong game in goal making many saves.
