Alligators Overwhelm Martlets

A hard loss in a mis-matched contest; the team should be proud of scoring the first goal of the game, with a bullet crease-roll shot from Ana Eckerson '11, followed by a beauty by Katie Hill '11, making the half-time score 2-7. The second half score was exactly the same, with Steph Piperno '11 and Erin Wallace '10 answering Greenwich's 7 goals, with the final score reading 4-14. Particularly fine play by Louise Marenakos '11 on defense, with fine sheep-herding, checking and ground balls. Also Andrea Cross '11 did a nice job with ground balls and carries, and Kiana Cateriano '11 and Colette Kim '11 played smart defense as well. Natalie Beidron '12 was everywhere this game, playing center, attack wing and d-wing- wherever she was needed. The girls are excited for a fun final two practices leading to their final contest away against IMS on Wednesday.
