First Loss for Third Girls' Squash

The team suffered its first loss of the season, falling to a seasoned, co-ed Renbrook squad. Though Westminster won 9 of the 14 matches played, Renbrook secured five wins in the top seven spots. Olivia Frank '11, Charlotte O'Herron '10 and Carolyn Zimmer '11 all suffered their first losses of the year at #1, #2 and #3 respectively. Hannah Leathers '11 lost in three close sets at #4. Torrey Leroy '09 at #5 and Taylor Virtue '11 at #7 both battled to five-set victories to prevent a clean sweep. In exhibition matches, Mallory Mason '11, Nina Grey '11, Natalie Chan '09, Katie Polio '11, Emily Snoddon '10, Briana Foley '11 and Riana MacKenzie '10 all won. The girls have back-to-back home matches this Friday and Saturday, facing Indian Mountain School and Millbrook, and hope to get back to their winning ways.
