Third Girls' Hockey Sweeps Canterbury

Again showing their competitive spirit, Third Girls' Squash defeated Canterbury 7 - 0  (10 - 1 including exhibition matches) on Saturday afternoon. Despite the many newcomers on the squad, the team handled their opponents like seasoned veterans. Carolyn Zimmer '11 secured a victory at #1, 9-3, 9-0, 9-4. Olivia Frank '11, Hannah Leathers '11 and Torrey Leroy '09 steamrolled through their opponents at #2, #3 and #4, respectively, dropping only six points among the three of them. Sophie Harris '11, Lily Simek '10 and Margaret Miller '10 rounded out the top seven, all sweeping through in straight-set victories.  In other matches, Nina Grey '11 came back after losing the third and fourth games to pull out a victory, 10-9 in the fifth; Katie Polio '11 and Riana MacKenzie '10 also won their matches.
