Boys keep tradition alive with win against alumni

A terrific turn-out of lacrosse alumni on a day where the rain held off just enough for a fast-paced, well-played game followed by a two part reception.  The current Martlets took an early lead and continued to build it as the Alumni, while very tough defensively, struggled to find a piece of net until the second half.  Chip Riegel was back to his old form in the cage supported well by d-men Charles Santry, Joe Rodrigues, and Jeff Cady for the alums, while John Moorhead, David Newman, Bob Santry, and Brad Neuberth eventually got things going on offense.  Good lacrosse was only a part of the day as the post-game gathering where alums re-connect with each other and newly connect with players made the day a true success.  Coaches Cole, Daly, Eckerson, and Newman watched from the sideline with pride in the Wesminster lacrosse tradition and in its alumni as the day unfolded.  Thanks to those below who made it a great event:
