Westminster Defeats Canterbury, Loses to Kingswood

Westminster dominated with 14 of 16 firsts and good support in seconds and thirds against Canterbury. Jackie Savage ‘09 rang up 4 first place finishes as did Captain Juliet Okpalanma ’06 and the Martlets swept the Saints and personal records were had despite windy conditions. First place finishes for Ashley Robinson ’06 in Shot Put and Discus, Madeleine Dailey ’09 in hurdles and triple jump, Anne Hoyt ’08 in the 3000, Tiffany Moopenn ’06 800, 1500, Frances McGrath ’06 in Javelin.

Kingswood-Oxford dominated in the jumps and distance but Westminster also had some good performances. Tiffany Moopenn ’06 ran very well taking 1st in the 800 and 2nd in the 1500 and Jacki Savage ’09 had two first in the 100, 200 and a third in the high jump. Captain Juliet Okpalanma ’06 took a first (400) and a second (long jump). Ashley Robinson ’06 took first in shot put and discus, with a sweep in shot put for Westminster with Chinazo Okpalanma ’08 taking second and Alexandra Hayes ’08 taking third.
