Westminster Loses to Choate

Choate traditionally uses its greater size as a school over Westminster but this year’s edition of the rivalry was a close battle until the final race. Seven Martlets had firsts, eight Martlets had seconds and eight had thirds but this still spelled a loss. The Black and Gold showed both talent and spirit in giving it their best until the end. Zane Rooney ’07 had three first in the 800,1500, and 4x400 and Sam Ogden ‘06, too, had three first, and a third in the meet. Good showing by Chris Eckerson ’09 whose Pole Vault personal record soared from 7 ½ to 9 feet.
