Westminster Falls to Chaote

The First Boys Hockey Team lost their first game of the season today in a high scoring game at Choate. Westminster started fast with two early first period goals by Chris DeJohn '06 and Ollie Koo '04. Choate got one back late in the first period. Choate tied the game early in the second period on a power play goal.

DeJohn scored his second goal of the game to put Westminster in the lead. Choate, taking advantage of a two man up opportunity, tied the game late in the second period. Choate took their first lead midway through the final period. Westminster scored two minutes later on a power play goal by Ben Smith '06.

Both teams continued to have good scoring opportunities in the wide open third period of the game. Choate continued to apply pressure in the offensive zone and scored the winning goal with just under seven minutes left in the game. Westminster pulled their goalie late in the game and had several good chances but was unable to score. Nick Pitsikoulis '05 had three assists. Westminster continues the season with their home opener against Pomfret on Saturday night.
