Westminster Tops Trinity-Pawling

Westminster faced a young and very strong squad at Trinity-Pawling. With formidable opponents at 1 and 2 we had our hands full. Alex Lavoie '06 managed to pull out a 5 game win with his signature control game using the open court. At number one Will Katz '07 played the most talented player we've seen in a long time and lost 3-0.

JP Morais '06 also succumbed to a spirited volleyer at # 5. Although Morais had a point to go up 2-1 and had his opponent very tired, he lost in four close games. In the other matches Westminster dominated. Brett Morell '06, Andres Gomez '06, Cy Ryan '06, and Clark LaMotte '07 all won in straight games. Morell only allowed 3 points while Ryan gave up four points. The Martlets hope to continue their good play against Deerfield at home on Wednesday.
