Martlets Fall to Choate

On Hill Holiday eve, we traveled to Choate for a rematch from last week. Although we lost the match, there were some bright spots on an otherwise chilly day. One particular bright spot was first seed doubles with captain Colin Daly ‘27 and Gid Williams ‘27. Gid eagerly filled in for teammate Ethan McQueeney ‘27 who was out due to illness. Colin and Gid showed some excellent teamwork throughout a competitive match, eventually winning 8-6. Other players also showed some verve–Enoch Olaosebikan ‘27 got his serve cooking and Zach Li ‘27 showed resilience over some long rallies at the top of the singles ladder. We live to fight another day against Taft on Saturday.
