Martlets Fall to Wild Boars

It was a still, warm, but beautiful day to play some tennis on the Peter Briggs courts. The Wild Boars of Choate traveled to us to square off against us earlier after a start time change from 4:45 to 3. With a slightly learner roster than usual, next-man-up mentality manifested as O’Neil Myrie ‘29–O’Neil’s first official match ever–and Luke Hugabonne ‘27 filled in to complete some doubles matches. Kudos to their efforts. Our highlight of the day came from our first seed doubles with captain Colin Daly ‘27 and Ethan McQueeney ‘27 who won their match in an entertaining nailbiter, 8-7. We get a chance at redemption next week when we take on Choate again.
