Martlets Fall to Choate

JV Boys lacrosse traveled down to Wallingford, CT to face Founder’s League opponent Choate Rosemary Hall. The Martlets struggled to find their rhythm during the start of the game as Choate took the lead 3-0 in the first quarter. Andrew Sala 26’ sparked the attack by finding the back of the net first for the Martlets. Ty Lambert 26’ had a fantastic performance, from winning faceoffs to assisting teammates. The game was heavily dictated by fast breaks and Choate was able to push the ball in transition leading to goals. The defense played well will 6th former Henry Baird 26’ and 5th former Wayne Kelly 27’ making memorable plays and clears. The midfield played hard despite having to battle through a fast-paced and tiring game. Andrew Doering 29’ showed flashes of brilliance in the midfield and helped to assist his teammates in scoring. Ultimately, the Martlets lost to the Wild Boars 9-5 but played with great effort throughout the entire match. The boys will face Taft this Saturday in Watertown, CT.
