Martlets Fall to Rhinos

In their final regular season match, the girls hosted Taft. The Rhinos rode their strength at the top of the ladder to a 5-2 win in which all seven matches were decided 3-0 The Martlets got their two wins at #s 6 and 7. At #6, Natasha Johnson ‘27 was dominant in her first two games, but had a bit of excitement in her 12-10. Anna Min ‘27 had an even tighter match, going to 18-16 and 12-10 in her last two games. The most traction in defeat was found by Chase Hager ‘26, who almost broke through in her second game (4, 10, 7), and by Sophia Lazor ‘27, who landed a number of blows against a tenacious defender (8, 4, 8). A shout-out also goes to Marti Jaramillo ‘27, who fought valiantly despite fighting a bad cold.
