Martlets Fall to Saints

The Martlets battled hard against a tough Canterbury team on the road.  Canterbury got off to a hot start.  It was a great atmosphere and the Martlets battled hard to stay afloat.  However, Canterbury controlled the tempo by scoring inside.  The Martlets went down by 15 at half.  As always, the Martlets battled hard in the second half to cut the deficit to 4 at one point.  Julien Wiggins ‘27 was a steady force all game and controlled the tempo for the Martlets by notching 23 points, 6 assists, 3 rebounds, and 2 steals..  Along with Ethan Griffin ‘26 who had ended with 26 points and 20 rebounds in the game.  Several of the underclassmen played heavy minutes and contributed on defense.  Despite losing by five points to the #2 seed in the Class B playoffs, this was an amazing season to say the least.  We were undermanned but we still performed at a high level amongst the best in NEPSAC.  Thank you to the seniors for all of your hard work.  Also, thank you to the fans and colleagues that made the trek to Canterbury.
