Martlets Fall to Pelicans

The Martlets faced the Pelicans in a cross-town battle. Although the score was one-sided, this was a much closer game than the final tally indicated.. The Pelicans simply had too many easy breakaway layups in the first half and Westminster could not keep up. The second half was much more even and the Martlets showed grit and hustle throughout the game. Ethan He ‘28 had his best game as a Martlet and led all Westminster scorers. He also played excellent defense and had some key rebounds. Colin Cirelli ‘29 also played well and hit a key jump shot to get Westminster going in the first half. Archie Downing ‘29, Lan Dao ‘29, and Eli Wilderman ‘29 also hit three-pointers for the Martlets. Enoch Olaosebikan ‘27 played with toughness and Bennett Varao ‘27 led Westminster in rebounding. Finn Hocking ‘26 and Conrad Kwait ‘27 were a steady presence and kept things under control for Westminster. The boys returned to action on Saturday at home at 2:30. Ft
