Martlets Fall to Knights

The JV boys squad continues to hunt its first win of the season, after today’s tough loss to a strong Salisbury team.  Zach Li ‘27, in the #6 position, made short work of his opponent, quickly identifying his weaknesses, and playing solid, consistent squash to win in 3 games.  And at the #7 spot, Rafa Rodrigues ‘28 continued his streak of down-to-the-wire, 5-game matches, battling back from a 1-2 deficit to win in 5 games.  Unfortunately, as we made our way higher up the ladder, the Salisbury boys were able to dominate.  Daniel Frid ‘27 played with a lot of heart, losing in 5 games at the #4 spot, while Salisbury found themselves with some more lopsided victories in the remaining positions.  As always, the Martlets took the loss in stride and continued to have fun on the court — and also came away with some specific goals for future improvement.  On Saturday, we will be joining up with the Varsity team for an away match at Kent.

Grit & Grace Award:  Mach Li ‘27, for bouncing back from the bout of the flu to grab a win in a decisive 3-game sweep!
