Martlets Finish Harrington Tournament with a Win

The Martlets took on the Milton Academy Mustangs in their final game of the Harrington Tournament. From the start, the Martlets brought energy and execution to the ice, skating to an exciting 3-1 victory over the mustangs. From the opening faceoff, the Martlets played with pace and purpose, earning the game’s first breakthrough late in the opening period. On the power play, Ellie Larrabee ‘27 delivered a clutch finish to put Westminster ahead, igniting the bench and giving the Martlets an early edge. The second period proved decisive as Westminster surged with confidence and offensive pressure. Larrabee struck again, this time at even strength, showcasing her urgency around the net. Just under two minutes later Naomi Flom ‘27 got her first as a Martlet and buried another 5-on-5 goal to stretch the lead to 3-0. Milton responded with a late power-play goal, but the Martlets were able to secure the lead. Westminster locked things down in the third period, playing composed, disciplined hockey to shut out any comeback hopes. Strong defensive structure, timely goaltending from Kate Epke ‘27, and smart game management carried Westminster across the finish line, securing the win heading into the break. The Martlets will now enjoy some time with family during the Holidays and pick things up again in the New Year on January 7th, at home, against Lawrenceville.

Our Grit & Grace player of the game is Junior Ellie Larrabee! Larrabee had two goals for the Martlets, but her effort and energy was the true catalyst for the team today.
