Martlets Shutout Bears on Senior Day

It was yet another fantastic fall day on the Hill as the Martlets took the field for their final home game, a celebration honoring six incredible seniors. Despite the emotions of the day, the Black and Gold came out strong and focused, determined to notch their tenth win of the season.
In perfect fashion, senior Mia Fluckiger ’26 opened the scoring midway through the first half with a perfectly placed penalty kick. With eight minutes remaining before the break, Natalie Czop ’27 tallied her first goal of the season off a pass from Cam Perillo ’28, giving the Martlets a 2–0 lead heading into halftime.
Westminster erupted in the second half, showcasing their attacking depth and chemistry. Fluckiger added another goal to her total, while Coslyn Bardy ’28 netted an impressive hat trick—all assisted by senior Hayley Fineberg ’26, who was masterful in the midfield.
Then came the storybook ending. With just two minutes left in regulation, senior Caroline Pokorny ’26 buried a beautiful strike into the upper 90 off a feed from Fluckiger. The team and bench erupted in pure joy as they celebrated their teammate and the perfect Senior Day moment.
The Martlets now wrap up their regular season on Wednesday at Pomfret, carrying momentum and heart into the final stretch of their campaign.
