Late Goal Pushes Martlets to a Draw

The Martlets battled to a hard fought 2–2 draw on Saturday against Nobles in an exciting back and forth contest.
Nobles struck first with a beautiful volley that found the upper 90. The Black and Gold regrouped and responded early in the second half when Mia Fluckiger ’26 finished a cross from Natalie Czop ‘27 to level the score. Riding that momentum, the Martlets pressed forward and created several dangerous chances but couldn’t find the back of the net.
Nobles reclaimed the lead off a corner kick, but Westminster showed reslience in the closing moments. With less than 30 seconds remaining, Maya Goddard ’26 delivered a brilliant equalizer off a cross from Fluckiger to secure the tie.
It was a gritty performance from the Martlets, who traveled the distance for this eastern NEPSAC matchup.
