Martlets Defeat WNS

On a beautiful Thursday afternoon, the boys took the scenic route to Williston and their amazing facility to play a rescheduled match from the prior week. It was great to see the momentum continue nearly across the board, with the #1 and #2 teams making solid shots, smart decisions. Even a bonus to see co-captain Hugh Olson ‘25 and Finn Hocking ‘26 use some I-formation in their set. What took them so long! Even though #3 faltered, both Henry Flaton ‘25 and Jack Pickett ‘26 rebounded well in singles. It was also good to have Parks Cuskley ‘25 and Alex Brown ‘27 fully back in action after both have been out with illness this week. Will Henry ‘26 and Steven Chun ‘25 also played great in their doubles match, winning in a clutch tiebreak! Out of all the great performances, we’ll give the grit and grace award to Noah Maltby ‘28! He was making his first singles start for us, and also had some great points with Brown at the #4 doubles position. The team has an off day tomorrow before hosting Trinity-Pawling at home to close another busy week.
