Long Trip, Satisfying Result

The Martlets made the long trek to Pawling, N.Y. on Saturday in the rain and came away with a satisfying 7-0 victory. Zach Eckerson '21 played his best squash of the year, moving all over the court to keep balls alive and hitting balls for good width and length, in a 4, 7, 4 win at No. 1. His play earns him the "nail" for today's contest. The boys from TP put up good battles, but the Black and Gold were just too strong up and down the ladder. The schedule gets considerably tougher with matches against Deerfield, Hotchkiss and Williston in the next 10 days.

Here are the individual match results from today's match:
No. 1 Zach Eckerson '21 defeated Andrew Zhang 4, 7, 4
No. 2 William Mell '21 defeated Tjende Djibo 7, 3, 11
No. 3 Gabe Lugo '23 defeated C. J. Mezzatesta 6, 11, 0
