The Martlets Battled to the End

The Martlets took on the No. 2 ranked Class B team Jan 17, in front of a packed gym. However, the Martlets were up for the challenge. The first half was up and down and the Martlets were down 35-40. Westminster came out in the second half with a ton of energy. The entire second half was controlled by bonus foul shots but both teams played hard until the end. Also, both teams sustained slight injuries but they battled through it. With two minutes left, the Martlets cut the deficit to 70-76 but Canterbury hit a few key free throws to ice the game. Chris Robinson '20 led all scorers with 28 points, eight assists, six rebounds and three steals. Teddy Mangiarotti '21 also had 16 points, three rebounds, three assists and two steals on the night. Rafa Charfole '20 chipped in with 14 points, seven rebounds and three assists. Gabe Charleston '21 had a solid night with 11 points, five rebounds, two assists and two blocks. Joe Walsh '20 and Owen Larsen '20 both played stellar defense the entire game. Big shoutout to Larsen on his first official varsity bucket!!!
