A Nice Day for Golf

It was a most perfect day for golf on Saturday — there was a light breeze and full sun made for a comfortable round for the girls as they challenged Taft and Loomis. Playing the front nine of Tumblebrook, the top five players were ready to take on the Pelicans and the "Big Red." Both challenger teams proved strong but the Martlets never backed down. Captains Elaina Comia '19 and Ishika Nathan '19 played hard and never faltered. Eve Cathcart '20 had a consistently strong round, one of her best of the season. Susie Mahoney '20 finished strong and powered through against some of the top players in the league. Emma Gurnell '21, the team’s second-year player, gained more confidence and field experience participating in her second match play.
